For divers, Juliet offers a fully appointed dive boat with an extremely experienced dive staff. We offer four dives per day – three during the day and one night dive – and never restrict your dive times as long as you stay within the no-decompression limits. We welcome you to set your own dive profiles and plans, and our experienced and knowledgeable dive masters will give you the information you need to plan your route and see the best of each dive site. If you’d rather not worry about navigation, just ask a crew member to join you and leave the driving, er, diving to them. Our marine biologist is always available to answer questions, take you scuba diving to show you all the best critters, and you won’t want to miss the weekly marine life presentations.
The Diving
Juliet Sailing and Diving offers access to some of the most pristine reefs in the areas she visits. Our crew has been diving the Bahamas for over 10 years and we know all the best spots. Dive with giant loggerhead turtles in and among teeming schools of grunts and snappers; get up close and personal with Caribbean Reef Sharks without the mess of staged feedings; gaze into the deep blue off the dramatic walls of Cat Cay; and travel with us to the far reaches of the Bimini chain, where you won’t ever see another dive boat, and the diving is one of the best kept secrets in the Bahamas.
Our dive trips to the Florida Keys offer a trip you can’t find anywhere else – dive the wrecks from Key West to Key Largo and back without a rental car, crowded day boats, or trying to find a hotel to stay in for the night! Just lay back, relax, and let us do the driving, er, sailing, while you just do the diving.
And our Virgin Islands trips will take you to beautiful reefs of St. Thomas, St. John, Virgin Gorda, Salt Island and the wreck of the Rhone, and even the beautiful sloping walls and colorful wrecks of St. Croix – and you won’t have to board a ferry.
The Dive Deck
Each diver has his or her own personal dive station with large private gear holds where the tanks immediately refilled after each dive, and there is a nearby deck shower with ample hot fresh water to rinse the salt off after your dive. Entry and exit points are located near to the dive stations, making it easy for you to get in the water quickly and easily. Rinse stations are provided for sensitive equipment such as cameras and computers, as well as dedicated rinse buckets, a table and storage for all of your underwater photography needs!
Diving Certification Courses
Live-aboard vacations are a great opportunity to refresh and advance your scuba diving skills. You can learn new skills and immediately have the opportunity to practice them, which allows the skills to become second nature. Our onboard instructors are able to provide certifications from open water to rescue diver and all specialties in between including:
- Open water check-out dives
- Advanced open water
- Marine Naturalist
- Fish Identification
- Wreck diving specialty
- Night diving specialty
- Deep diving specialty
- Navigation specialty
- Rescue dive
Refreshers
If you haven’t been diving in a while, don’t worry. Juliet offers refreshers on-board to help you fine tune your buoyancy, remember how those pesky mask-clears work, and allow you to enjoy the rest of your week of scuba diving with less stress and better skills. Talk to one of our crew at check-in and we’ll get you settled in on dive one!
Resort Course
Even if you’re not a diver, you can go diving too by taking a resort course on board! We have many non-divers come on board Juliet, often accompanying a diving spouse, partner, or friend. A resort course is a fantastic way to safely experience scuba diving and is the most common way people become hooked on diving. Our experienced instructors will teach you the principle concepts of scuba diving, a few basic scuba skills, and take you on two dives to a maximum of 30-feet. You too can feel the weightlessness, get up-close-and-personal with all the beautiful tropical fish, and maybe even fall in love with the underwater world.
Note: A resort course is not a certification but a one-time training to allow you to dive with an instructor during your trip on Juliet
